Basic Bushcraft summer
During this one-week bushcraft course we will teach you the basic skills of bushcraft while you can fully enjoy the pristine Swedish nature. Get back to nature and discover how to use everything Mother Nature has to offer to survive.
What will you learn in the bushcraft course?
This course is all about utilizing natural resources. During the week you will learn, among other things:
- Making fire without matches or lighter.
- Building a shelter.
- Fishing and cooking on an open fire.
- Recognizing and collecting edible plants.
- Navigating with map and compass.
Program of the week
Day 1: Arrival, check into one of our cozy cottages, meet the guides and explain the program.
Day 2: Theory and practice: making fire, navigating with map and compass, and building a shelter in the Survival School near base camp.
Day 3: Hike to the overnight site, where you will apply the techniques learned. We will learn camping, outdoor hygiene, finding drinking water, cooking on an open fire and spending the night in a self-built shelter.
Day 4: Part of the group goes fishing, while the rest extends camp. Together we cook on an open fire and enjoy nature.
Day 5: Same activities as Day 4, with further deepening of techniques.
Day 6: We refine bushcraft skills, return to base camp for a hot shower and end the week with a communal dinner.
Day 7: Transfer back to Östersund airport.
Practical information
Season: Bookable from mid-June to mid-October.
Participants: Maximum 8 people.
Includes:
- Transfer to and from Östersund airport.
- 7 days accompanied by experienced guides.
- Overnight stays in cottages and home-built shelters.
- Full meals, including ingredients for outdoor cooking.
- Use of necessary materials and equipment.
