Canoe trip
Experience a multi-day canoe trip on the scenic mountain lakes of northern Sweden. Silently glide through pristine nature far away from civilization, camping in teepees or hammocks along the shores. The sole purpose is to enjoy deafening silence, total peace and complete relaxation.
Program of the canoe trip
As always with Fjällspirit Adventures, you will be personally picked up from Östersund airport and accompanied throughout your stay. Upon arrival at the Fjällspirit Basecamp you will receive a detailed explanation of how to plan your canoe trip. Here we really go back to nature.
On Day 2 we pack all our equipment in waterproof barrels and bags and practice the first paddle strokes on Lake Akersjön. We learn how to steer the canoe and what to do in case of capsizing. The next few days we immerse ourselves in the Hotagen Nature Reserve, where we sleep in a tent each night.
On Day 3 we move to the boarding point with all the equipment. Here we load the canoes and take a short paddle to our first overnight spot. Building camp, gathering wood and cooking we do together.
Over the next few days we will explore one of Europe’s last untouched wildernesses and enjoy Sweden’s impressive nature and overwhelming silence.
On day 6 we paddle back to civilization, where a comfortable bed and a hot shower await us. On day 7 follows the transfer back to Östersund airport.
Practical information
Season: Canoe trips are organized from mid-June to the end of August.
Participants: minimum 2, maximum 4 people.
Price: €1000 per person.
Includes:
- Transfer to and from Östersund airport.
- Guidance throughout the tour.
- Camping equipment and use of canoes.
- Full meals during the trip.
