Sub-Arctic Survival Week
The Sub-Arctic Survival Week is all about winter survival techniques. During this week we go back to basics and show that with the right knowledge and skills you can survive in the pristine, winter nature of Sweden.
What will you learn during Sub-Arctic Survival Week?
This week is designed for the less experienced adventurer who wants to learn the essentials of winter survival. As you trek through the lonely winter landscapes, you will experience the feeling of a real polar expedition.
We will cover about 10 kilometers daily on snowshoes, at a leisurely pace so there is enough time and energy to learn survival techniques. You will learn, among other things:
- Making fire without matches or lighter.
- Navigating the wilderness.
- Building a snow igloo or shelter.
- Camping and survival skills in extreme conditions.
Program and accommodation
The first and last night you will stay in a comfortable cottage at Fjällspirit Basecamp. During the trek you will spend the night in self-built shelters, snow gilts or tents.
